The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office has sent out notification of a sex offender living in Maricopa.

Mark Stephen Hopson, 51, was convicted in 2007 of attempted sexual exploitation of a minor after investigators found child pornography on his computer, according to the sheriff’s notice.

“This information is made available for the purpose of protecting the public,” according to the notification. “Anyone who uses this information to commit a criminal act against another person is subject to criminal prosecution.”
