Per a state statute, the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office has released information about a sex offender who has moved to the town of Oracle.

Steven Anthony Burgess, 45, who is classified as a Level 3 sex offender, is living in the 1200 block of East Aldwinkle Place, according to information provide by Tim Gaffney, spokesman for the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office.

In 1987 Burgess was convicted of attempted sexual assault. In 2001 he was convicted of attempted molestation of a child and dangerous crimes against children, the sheriff’s office sex offender notification form stated.

Per the sheriff’s report: “In 1987 offender pled guilty to attempted sexual assault (plea agreement) after sexually assaulting a 12 yoa female known to him. In 2000, offender molested an 11yoa female known to him. Offender pled guilty to attempted molestation of a child.”

Burgess is described as 5-feet-6 and about 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo of a ribbon with “Brown Pride,” on his back, and a “Michael” tattoo on his left shoulder.
