A South Tucson man was stabbed to death in his home early this morning and police are searching for the homicide suspect.

Police officers responded to a call about a fight at 5:39 a.m. When they arrived at a home in the 400 block of East 30th Street at South Third Avenue, they found a man in the home with multiple stab wounds, Lt. Jeff Inorio, spokesman for the South Tucson Police Department, said. The man was dead when officers arrived.

A woman who was staying in the home ran from the residence during the fight and met police when they arrived. She told them the victim and an acquaintance had gotten into a fight and the suspect fled the scene, Inorio said.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his 30s, 6-feet-2-inches tall, 190 pounds, with a short haircut, a thin mustache, and a scar and deformity on his head.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information about the homicide or the identity of the suspect should call 911 or 88-CRIME.
