A cordoned off parking lot had rush hour rubberneckers and passersby slowing this morning to get a look at the SWAT activity outside a midtown store.

Multiple Tucson police cars and two SWAT truck were in the parking lot of the Walgreen's at the intersection of 22nd Street and Craycroft Road.

Earlier in the morning police were in the area responding to a domestic violence call, said Sgt. Chris Widmer, spokesman for the Tucson Police Department.

The suspect was seen running into an apartment complex at 1250 S. Craycroft Road, behind the drug store where SWAT set up it’s staging area.

Just after 7 a.m. officers learned the suspect was no longer in the apartment complex, Widmer said.
