A bicyclist was injured Saturday morning after colliding with a car near a Northwest side elementary school.

The crash occurred just before 10 a.m. in front of Quail Run Elementary School, 4600 W. Cortaro Farms Road at North Camino de Oeste.

A 67-year-old man riding without a helmet and transported by ambulance to a local hospital or treatment, Capt. Adam Goldberg, spokesman for the Northwest Fire District, said in an email. He was expected to be discharged tonight.
