A 33-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the slaying of a 28-year-old man on Oct. 16.

Donald Woods was booked into jail and is facing a first-degree murder charge and a charge of being a prohibited possessor of a firearm, Tucson police said in a news release.

He turned himself in to a U.S. marshal's task force on Tuesday. An arrest warrant had been issued for Woods the day after the shooting.

Brandon Luster was shot and killed at an apartment complex in the 2500 block of North Fontana Avenue last week.

Gang detectives are investigating the shooting, Tucson police said.
