A Tucson man died Sunday night after being involved in a single-vehicle rollover on the far east side.

Deputies responded to the crash in the 12300 block of East Old Spanish Trail shortly after 9 p.m. and began performing CPR on Randall Lovitt, 59, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, Deputy Tracy Suitt, a Pima County Sheriff’s Department spokesman, said in a news release.

Lovitt was westbound when he lost control of the car and rolled over into the desert, Suitt said.

He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
