A 20-year-old Tucson man died in a single vehicle crash this morning on Interstate 19.

Eric Parra was driving a white Honda Civic northbound on Interstate 19 near the San Xavier exit at  7:17 a.m. when he, “for unknown reasons, went off the road and hit a tree,” Officer Dave Hopkins, spokesman for the Department of Public Safety, said.

Parra, who was the sole occupant of the car, was not wearing a seat belt. He died at the scene, Hopkins said.
