A man was arrested in connection with sharing child pornography on the Internet, police said.

Jesus Alberto Villegas, 20, was arrested Thursday and booked into the Pima County jail on suspicion of 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, said Sgt. Pete Dugan, a Tucson Police Department spokesman.

In November, detectives of the Internet crimes against children unit developed information that a person in the Tucson area was downloading and sharing child pornography on the Internet, Dugan said.

On Thursday, detectives and federal marshals served a search warrant on a house in the 5700 block of East Burns Street, near North Craycroft Road and East Broadway.

Detectives found a computer in the home that contained multiple images of child pornography, Dugan said. Detectives found out that Villegas downloaded and shared images on several occasions.
