A 39-year-old man was arrested Wednesday and is facing sexual exploitation of a minor charges in a pornography case.

Jonathan Patton was arrested after detectives found evidence at a house in the 600 block of North Loquat Avenue that Patton was downloading and sharing child pornography on the Internet, said Sgt. Pete Dugan, a spokesman for the Tucson Police Department.

Patton was booked into the Pima County jail on 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

In April, detectives in the Internet crimes against children unit began working on the case. On Wednesday, a search warrant was served at the Loquat Avenue address with the assistance of federal marshals, Dugan said.

The east side neighborhood is located north of East Broadway and west of North Harrison Road.

Police advise Internet users to make sure their Internet routers for Wi-Fi connections are secure. Unsecure wireless connections can be used by neighbors or others in close proximity, Dugan said.

Dugan also advised parents to continually monitor their children's social media accounts.
