A 43-year-old motorcyclist was killed Monday morning in a crash on Tucson's southside.

Ruben M. Reyes, was riding a 1995 Honda Shadow eastbound on Irvington Road when he cut in between a Ford Van stopped at a red light at Benson Highway and a Hyundai Accent that was slowing as it approached the intersection, Sgt. Chris Widmer, a Tucson police spokesman said in a news release.

Reyes hit the front of the car and was thrown into the rear of the van, the release said.

He was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Nobody else was injured.
