Tucson police say they arrested a man in connection with three convenience store robberies that began Wednesday night.

The same gunman is believed to have robbed three Circle K stores in roughly two hours, Sgt. Chris Widmer, a Tucson police spokesman, said in a news release.

The first robbery was at 11:42 p.m. the Circle K at 5801 N. Oracle Road. The next occurred at 1:26 a.m. at 2405 N. Silverbell Road and the third was at 1:32 a.m. at 1395 W. Miracle Mile. No one was injured.

Just before 2 a.m. TPD's force commander spotted a man matching the robber's description crouching behind the Circle K at 130 E. Speedway, Widmer said. The man, who had a gun, was apprehended without incident.

Gustavo Paco, 28, was booked into the Pima County jail on suspicion of armed robbery.

Police say they continue to search for a car and another man who might be involved. Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
