Police have identified a 32-year-old man killed Saturday in an east-side crash as Bobby Partridge.

The crash happened shortly before 7:30 p.m. near East Broadway Boulevard and Sherwood Village Drive, east of Pantano Road, Sgt. Chris Widmer, a Tucson police spokesman said in a news release.

Partridge was driving a 2008 PT cruiser and rear-ended a Chevy Trailblazer as the driver was making a U-turn on on Broadway Boulevard, the release said.

Detectives believe Partridge was driving at a high rate of speed and also believe alcohol was a factor in the crash, the release said.

Partridge was taken to a hospital where he died shortly after arrival.

A 47-year-old woman driving the Trailblazer was not injured.
