A man was shot at Mirasol Park Tuesday night and taken in a private vehicle to a hospital, police said.

The man was listed in serious condition with non-life threatening injuries, said Sgt. Chris Widmer, a Tucson Police Department spokesman.

Shortly before 7:30 p.m., officers responded to Mirasol Park, 1101 E. Silverlake Road, to reports of shots fired, Widmer said. The park is west of South Kino Boulevard.

Police found out the man was hit by gunfire and taken to the hospital, said Widmer.

No further information was immediately available.
