Two teenagers have been arrested on charges they set three fires on the northwest side.

Nathan Ayers, 16, and Dariun Beech, 18 were arrested Monday in connection with three fires set that day in the area of West Magee and North Shannon roads, said Deputy Tracy Suitt, a spokesman for the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.

Ayers was booked into juvenile detention and faces charges of felony arson of a structure or property and burning of wildlands.

Beech was booked into the Pima County jail and faces charges of reckless burning and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, Suitt said.

Ayers and Beech also are under investigations for additional arson fires dating to Jan. 24.

Details of the fires were not available Friday.

Anyone with information regarding the fires should call 911 or 88-CRIME.
