A 25-year-old Tucson woman was arrested Thursday for attempting to smuggle nearly 138 pounds of marijuana through the Port of Nogales.

A drug-sniffing dog detected narcotics in a Chevrolet sedan driven by the woman, according to a media release from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers found nearly $69,000 worth of marijuana hidden underneath the floorboards and inside the hollowed out back seats.

The drugs and vehicle were seized and agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations took the woman into custody.
