Vandals caused $30,000 in damage to the golf course at an east side country club overnight Friday.

The vandalism was discovered early Saturday morning at the Forty-Niners Country Club, 12000 E. Tanque Verde Road.

“The suspects used some type of motor vehicle to tear up the grassy areas and caused an estimated $30,000 worth of damage,” Deputy Courtney Rodriguez, spokeswoman for the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, said in a news release.

Anyone with information about the vandalism or suspects, should call 911 or 88-CRIME.
