A 21-year-old woman is in custody, possibly linked to a series of locker break-ins at fitness gyms in the Tucson area, authorities said.

Danielle Bratton was linked to a series of thefts from LA Fitness in Marana, and LA Fitness and Platinum Fitness gyms in Oro Valley, officials said.

On Friday, Bratton, who also is a suspect in locker- room thefts at gyms in Tucson, tried to enter an LA Fitness gym in the 9000 block of East Golf Links Road. She was taken into custody by Tucson police, said Lt. Kara Riley, an Oro Valley Police Department spokeswoman.

Bratton was booked into the Pima County jail on a probation violation, Riley said.

She is facing other charges directly related to the thefts.

Oro Valley investigators found stolen items in Bratton’s possession from victims in cases they were investigating, Riley said.

Marana Police investigators also interviewed Bratton and she was linked to three locker break-ins that occurred at the LA Fitness in Marana, said Sgt. Jose Alvarez, a Marana Police Department spokesman.

Bratton is facing several burglary, theft and fraud charges in the gym break-ins in Marana and Oro Valley, authorities said.
