A woman was arrested Saturday for attempting to smuggle marijuana through the Douglas port of entry.

Rosario Garcia-Torrez, 39, a Mexican national, was taken into custody after officers found 214 pounds of marijuana in her Chevrolet SUV, according to a Customs and Border Protection news release.

The marijuana was found within the vehicle's four tires and underneath the hood. The marijuana's value was estimated at $107,000.

The drugs and vehicle were seized, and Garcia-Torrez was turned over to federal authorities.
