A 32-year-old Agua Prieta, Sonora woman was arrested Sunday for attempting to smuggle 246 pounds of marijuana through the Douglas port of entry.

Ana C. Gonzalez-Figueroa was taken into custody by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers and turned over to Homeland Security officials, according to a news release.

Officers found $123,000 worth of marijuana hidden in a Chevrolet truck Gonzalez-Figueroa was driving through the port of entry. 

The marijuana bundles were found within the truck's seats, undercarriage and spare tire, officials said.

The truck and drugs were seized.
