A woman injured in an east-side crash over the weekend died Monday afternoon.

The crash happened Jan. 4 around 7 p.m. on East Tanque Verde Road near East Catalina Highway, Officer Brandon Tatum, a Tucson police spokesman, said in a news release.

A Scion traveling westbound in the left hand turn lane on Tanque Verde Road made a left turn in front of a Dodge Ram traveling eastbound, and the truck struck the front passenger's side of the Scion, the release said.

The driver of the Scion, Anjalyn Lovendahl, 25, was not wearing a seatbelt.

She was taken to the hospital where she died Monday.

Police have not issued any citations and do not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash, the release said.
