A passenger injured in a crash with an ambulance in mid-May died from her injuries Sunday night at a local hospital, Tucson police said.

Dorothy Krutzsch, 92, was the passenger of a Toyota Prius that was struck by a Southwest Ambulance on May 14 in the 5000 block of East Grant Road, Sgt. Chris Widmer, a Tucson police spokesman said in a news release.

The ambulance was traveling eastbound on Grant Road in the curb lane and struck the Prius which was turning into a driveway and made a left hand turn in front of the ambulance, the release said.

Both Krutzsch and the driver of the Prius were taken to the hospital. The driver had minor injuries.

The ambulance was not carrying passengers and the three occupants inside were not injured.
