Sheriff deputies arrested a man suspected of robbing a woman while she walked to her car at a southwest side bank.

On Tuesday, robbery/assault unit detectives took Humberto Andres Tequida Jr., 25, into custody at his home in the 5100 block of S. Livingstone Drive, said Chief Deputy Chris Nanos of the Pima County Sheriff's Department.

The neighborhood is south of West Irvington Road and west of South Midvale Park Road.

Tequida was booked into the Pima County jail on one count of robbery.

Detectives were led to Tequida after learning he cashed a check in the Chase Bank, 2920 W. Valencia Road, before the May 20 strong armed robbery, Nanos said in a news release.

The victim identified Tequida in a photo lineup, Nanos said.
