Police have identified the woman found dead late Wednesday night at a south side home.

The body of the 50-year-old Carol Straub was found at about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday at a home in the 1300 block of East 28th Street between South Park Avenue and South Kino Parkway.

Her boyfriend arrived at the home to find her dead and he called 911, said Sgt. Chris Widmer, a spokesman for the Tucson Police Department.

Straub suffered “obvious signs of trauma,” but police are not yet calling the death a homicide, Widmer said.

“There are definitely some suspicious circumstances,” Widmer said.

Anyone with information about the death should call 911 or 88-CRIME.
