A 25-year-old man was struck and killed by a train downtown Wednesday night.
Tucson police were called at about 9 p.m. to the area of North Seventh and East Toole avenues and found the man dead at the scene, said Sgt. Chris Widmer, spokesman for the Tucson Police Department.
Union Pacific Railroad personnel are investigating the death, Widmer said.
Multiple calls were made to Union Pacific, but representatives were unable to be reached, so no further information was available Thursday morning.
