The Ducey for governor camp has a new ad out, simply called "Southern Arizona."

The 32-second ad, uploaded to YouTube yesterday, promises Ducey will  "properly" fund the University of Arizona, protect Davis-Monthan and secure the border.

"Good ideas don't just come from one county. They come from you. As governor, I'll make sure southern Arizona's voice is heard," he says in the video.

The latest ad appears on local airwaves less than a week since the gubernatorial debate here in Tucson, an event the former Cold Stone CEO did not participate in

Text of the ad:

(Ducey, speaking)

"The issues facing Tucson, Pima County and Southern Arizona require urgent attention from our next governor. You are closest to the border so issues of trade and security hit here first and hardest.

I'll use every tool available to secure the border and keep our citizens safe. I'll fight to protect Davis-Monthan and I'll properly fund the University of Arizona.

Good ideas don't just come from one county. They come from you. As governor, I'll make sure southern Arizona's voice is heard."
