A pair of debates have been scheduled for October between the two candidates vying for Congressional District 2 — Democrat Ron Barber and Republican Martha McSally.

The first is set for Oct. 17 in Sierra Vista and the second will be in Tucson on Oct. 23. Here are the details:

• Oct. 17

Where: Buena High School performing arts center, 5225 East Buena School Blvd., Sierra Vista.

When: Starts at 6 p.m.

Host: Sierra Vista Chamber of Commerce.

• Oct. 23

Where: University of Arizona campus at grand ballroom in Student Union Memorial Center, 303 E. University Blvd.

When: Starts at 6 p.m.

Host: Associated Students of the UA.

Note: Will be broadcast by Arizona Public Media.

Both debates come after early ballots go out on Oct. 11. In the past two elections, more than three-fourths of votes cast have come via early ballots.
