Republican Congressional candidate Gary Kiehne told a crowd of Tucson Republicans he was willing to put more of his personal fortune in the race.

The northern Arizona native told a small group of College Republicans from the University of Arizona on Friday night that he would continue to fund his own campaign in Congressional District 1.

"I'm going to put in whatever takes. I will put more in this quarter," Kiehne told the assembled crowd at the IHOP on Oracle Road.

To date, Kiehne has already put $105,000 of his own money into the race as of Dec. 31.

A new fiscal quarter ends tonight, with filings with the Federal Election Commission becoming public in mid-April.
