Former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and astronaut husband, Mark Kelly, have put out a short view backing the sole Democratic candidate for Governor, Fred Duval.

The short one-minute speech offers praise for Duval from the couple.

Text of the ad:

“For too long Arizona has been held back by leaders who are more concerned about scoring political points than working together,” said Kelly.”

“Fred Duval will move Arizona forward,” Giffords said.

"Fred is a problem-solver. We have seen him work with Democrats and Republicans to get things done. Especially in education. Fred knows to improve our economy and to compete for the jobs of the future we’ve got to improve our schools with a focus on science, math and real job skills,”  Kelly said.  “And Fred knows we can become Arizona’s energy leader.”

“By investing [in] solar energy,” Giffords said.

“We hope you will join us in supporting Fred Duval,” Kelly said.

“Fred will be a great governor,” the pair said together.

“And move Arizona forward,” Kelly concluded.
