The city of Tucson has released their weekly update on Modern Streetcar-related construction for the week ending on Aug. 18.

Highlights from the press release includes:

- On Monday (Aug. 12) and Tuesday (Aug. 13) the contractor will install temporary striping along Stevens Avenue, Fourth Avenue, University Boulevard, Park Avenue, Second Street, Warren Avenue and Helen Street.

The striping operation will take place over night between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. each night. No parking will not be permitted along University Boulevard, between Fourth and Euclid Avenues on Monday night/Tuesday morning.

- Contractors will begin to power wash the entire length of track in preparation of the Tucson Department of Transportation's inspection.

- The contractor will continue installing traffic poles and signals, conduit, sidewalks, curb and access ramps in the following areas: Broadway, from Granada Avenue to Fifth Avenue; Granada Avenue, from Congress Street to Cushing Street and Cushing Street from Granada (west under I-10) to Avenida del Convento.
