Sun Link officials will close East University Boulevard between North Fourth Avenue and Tyndall Avenue early Monday morning for streetcar testing.

Crews will conduct high-speed testing of the streetcar between 1 and 5 a.m., according to a Sun Link news release.

The side streets and alleys intersecting with University will also be closed during those hours.

Parking will not be allowed along the south side of University.

Crews will allow intermittent access across University for pedestrians, vehicles and bicyclists. Tucson Police will help direct traffic during that time.

This round of testing will begin the high-speed testing phase for the fourth of eight streetcars. The remaining four streetcars will undergo testing throughout the spring and summer months.
