Contractors working for Pima County Department of Transportation and the Regional Transportation Authority will be pouring the second half of the bridge deck on the new bridge at the Cañada Del Oro Wash tonight, starting at 8 p.m.

The east side northbound bridge is expected to open to traffic in roughly four weeks.

The new bridge is part of the La Cholla Boulevard: Magee Road to Overton Road Improvement Project.

The project improvements include four travel lanes, paved shoulders for bicycles, a multi-use path, curbs and storm drains, intersection improvements, a raised landscaped median, public art, and a four-lane bridge with concrete deck over the CDO Wash.
