Since its initial development in 1986 by volunteers, the Tucson Clean & Beautiful (TCB) Recycling Directory, has continued to evolve from its first edition as a modest booklet to now be a vital online informational resource for the local community. Published online at the Recycling Directory is a comprehensive catalog of over 300 local eco-friendly businesses, non-profit organizations, programs and resources which offer their locations as a drop-off point for select recyclable and reusable materials, offer used merchandise for resale, or provide other products and services that are environmentally friendly. The online directory is also supplemented by the (520) 791-5000 Recycling Information Hotline.

The Recycling Directory is continuously being updated in order to provide the Tucson community with the most accurate information, and now has over 45 categories of different recyclable materials and environmental resources, ranging from aluminum cans and scrap metal to plastics to medication and medical equipment. The Recycling Directory also lists which businesses and programs are TCB members and partners in support of the organization¹s environmental education efforts. Some of the listed companies also provide TCB members with special discounts on products and services.

Companies and organizations offering recycling, reuse and other environment-friendly materials and services are strongly encouraged to request a listing in the Recycling Directory, as it promotes an eco-friendly lifestyle to a wide audience throughout Tucson while encouraging business growth. Businesses and organizations can request a listing by filling out and returning a Listing Request Form, which can be found on the TCB website under the "Recycling Directory" tab, or may be obtained by calling (520) 791-5000. Community members may also recommend new listings. All listings are free of charge, provided and edited at TCB's discretion.
