Wildcat Drive Thru Liquors received its third fine this year for selling alcohol to minors.

The Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control fined the liquor store north of downtown $6,000 in October for violations noted in an April investigation.

Wildcat, 1202 N. Stone Ave., paid $3,250 in fines in two earlier cases.

An undercover 19-year-old working with a Liquor Department investigator went to Wildcat in April and bought beer at the drive-up window. The clerk checked his ID card but sold the beer to him anyway, according to the investigator’s report.

The clerk was cited for possession of marijuana, selling alcohol to an underage person and failure to properly check the ID of the buyer.

The department also issued fines this month of $750 each to Pima Liquors, 2858 W. Drexel Road, and Fas Fuel, 3601 N. Oracle Road, for selling beer to minors and failing to check ID.
