One person was airlifted after a two-vehicle crash on the city's southeast side Thursday night, authorities said.

Tucson Fire Department firefighters were dispatched at 8:30 p.m. after reports of a crash between an SUV and a motorcycle, said Capt. Jeff Langejans, a department spokesman.

The crash occurred in front of Empire High School, 10701 E. Mary Ann Cleveland Way, said Langejans.

Tucson police said Mary Ann Cleveland Way, between South Houghton Road and East Red Iron Trail, will be closed until early Friday morning.

No further information was immediately available.
