A young mountain lion was spotted in the foothills near Tucson over the weekend, according to the Arizona Game and Fish Department.
Apparently the mountain lion was spotted late Saturday morning on the patio of a foothills home.
The department said the animal left the area without any incident after it became aware that humans were nearby.
Although the department said sightings like this are pretty routine in the foothills, residents should still report any sightings to the department as soon as possible so that they can evaluate and track their movement.
