Arizona border officials have apprehended seven people in a human-smuggling case that involved the use of at least one single-engine plane.

Details of the probe are limited, but Border Patrol officials say the arrests were made Monday at the Bisbee-Douglas International Airport and are part of an ongoing investigation.

The arrests Monday involved four U.S. citizens and three Mexican nationals who were being smuggled, the agency said in a written statement.
