A 21-year-old Nogales, Sonora man was arrested Wednesday after border officers say he was caught with black tar heroin and methamphetamine as he tried to drive into Arizona.

Officers at the Nogales port of entry were searching the Toyota SUV driven by Benjamin Fornes when they found  about 15 pounds of heroin and nearly four pounds of methamphetamine inside a spare tire, according to a news release from U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

The drugs, which have an estimated street value of $260,000 and the vehicle were seized. Fornes was turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
