Border Patrol agents on horseback helped the Cochise County Sheriff's Office locate a suspected burglar Tuesday.

Early Tuesday, agents assisted deputies investigate a burglary of a home in Sunizona, south of Willcox. When agents arrived at the residence, they discovered several sets of footprints leading away from the residence.

Horse patrol agents from the Willcox Station subsequently located and arrested a Mexican national south of the burglarized home.

The agents also found four bundles of marijuana hidden in grass nearby.

The seized marijuana, worth an estimated $80,300, will be turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.

The Cochise County Sheriff’s Office is conducting the breaking-and-entering investigation.
