About this page

An increasing number of Central American families are crossing the border, many of them through South Texas. On May 27 the Arizona Daily Star received a tip about women and children being dropped off at the bus station in Tucson. Since then, the Star’s staff has covered the influx of children traveling alone and with their families from Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador. Here you will find in-depth stories, videos and photos offering a local, state and national perspective on what has been called a humanitarian crisis. Check back for continued coverage.
