Federal officers at the Douglas Port of Entry seized 314 pounds of marijuana hidden in a SUV on Thursday, officials said.
A Mexican woman was driving the Suzuki vehicle as it crossed the border , according to a news release from Customs and Border Protection.
A drug-sniffing dog detected the drugs, and officers found 199 packages of marijuana hidden throughout the vehicle.
Authorities estimated the load was worth about $157,000. The driver was turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement Homeland Security Investigations.
The SUV was also seized, the release said.
