Crews are fixing a curb at the streetcar stop at North Fourth Avenue and East Ninth Street.
Joe Chase, Tucson’s streetcar project manager, said the height of the curb prevented the wheelchair ramp that extends from the streetcar from properly deploying.
Chase said the contractor is fixing the problem at no cost to the city.
The city noticed it when the first car arrived, but waited to address it at a time when it wouldn’t impede the strict testing schedule, Chase said.
The streetcar line will be powered down during the weekend to make minor repairs and address other issues.
Repairs to the streetcar stop should be finished by Sunday, Chase said.
