The Court Appointed Special Advocates of Pima County are presenting Coffee With CASA, an information session where potential volunteers can hear directly from some of the current advocates.

Remaining sessions are Wednesday from 3 to 4 p.m. at Posada Java, 665 S. Park Centre Ave. in Green Valley; Aug. 14 from 3 to 4 at Beyond Bread, East Speedway and North Wilmot Road; and Aug. 27 from 9 to 10 a.m. at Beyond Bread, North Campbell Avenue and East Fort Lowell Road.

There are 4,000 Pima County children in the foster-care system, and only 3 percent of them have a CASA advocate looking out for their interests. At Coffee With CASA, people can learn how they can help.
