A Tucson man was given seven years' probation for his participation in an armed robbery in 2012.

Dylan Graeme Schaefer was sentenced on Thursday after pleading guilty to the robbery.

Schaefer, along with two other men, robbed an apartment resident in the 1700 block of North Wilmot Road.

A hearing will be set later to determine any restitution amount Schaefer will have to pay. At that time, Pima County Superior Court Judge Richard D. Nichols could decide to reduce the length of Schaefer's probation.

Schaefer's attorney, Janet Altschuler, told the judge that her client had stayed out of trouble since the robbery, has no substance abuse problems, works a job and has the support of his family.
