A man was found dead inside a mobile home in midtown Sunday morning.

A neighbor reported smelling a "suspicious" odor and entered the home in the 300 block of East Pastime Road, near East Roger Road and North Stone Avenue, found the body and called 911, said Tucson Police Department spokesman Sgt. Chris Widmer.

Because the man had obvious signs of trauma and there were "suspicious circumstances," the man's death is being investigated as a homicide, Widmer said.

He did not elaborate.

Detectives said they believe the man was dead in the home for at least a week. Whether he lived there or what his connection was to the home has not been determined, Widmer said.

No other information was available Sunday.
