A man police said was responsible for a string of burglaries in 2012 was sentenced to a year in prison on Monday in Pima County Superior Court.

Patrick Joseph Greiwe pleaded guilty to theft of a means of transportation and burglary in the third degree in two separate cases.

Police arrested Greiwe, 32, in December after connecting him to numerous burglaries at homes and businesses in the Catalina area.

He received a year in prison for the burglary charge and three years probation following his release for the auto theft charge.
