A Tucson man accused of several burglaries was sentenced to four years of intensive probation.

Charles Painter Spear pleaded guilty to third-degree burglary for his role in what police believe were several burglaries.

He was arrested in March after police identified him as a suspect in burglaries of businesses in Pima County, Marana and Oro Valley.

Police said he and at least one accomplice gained entry to the businesses by smashing glass doors with large rocks.

Spear also will be required to pay restitution up to $4,000.
