Lisa Marie Boone-Scott, a former employee of a Marana adult-care home, was sentenced to 2ƒ years in prison for forging checks belonging to a 91-year-old patient.

Boone-Scott, 48, pleaded guilty to one count of forgery in February.

She forged two checks totaling $1,666 and made five unauthorized ATM withdrawals from the victim’s account for a total of $2,500, according to court documents.

Boone-Scott was convicted of a similar offense in Yuma and served time in prison in California.

Boone-Scott could have received probation, however Pima County Superior Court Judge Paul Tang said that would not be appropriate given the similarities of the offenses.
