Instead of paying for a case of beer at a Tucson convenience store, a man just waved a gun at the clerk as he walked out the door.

Now police are looking for the armed-robbery suspect.

About 6:45 on the evening of May 18, a man entered the Circle K at 3155 E. Speedway just east of North Country Club Road, and picked up a 30-pack of beer from the display case.

"As he was leaving, he approached the clerk and pointed a handgun, waving it at the clerk. He then put the gun away and left with the beer," Sgt. Chris Widmer, spokesman for the Tucson Police Department, said in a news release.

The thief was described as Hispanic, 40 to 50 years old, 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds. He was wearing jean shorts, a plaid shirt and an orange knit cap.

Anyone with information about the robbery or the identity of the robber should call 911 or 88-CRIME.
