A marketing teacher at Ironwood Ridge High School was arrested Thursday on suspicion of having a sexual relationship with a female student.

Robert Richard Brush, 31, was detained at the school, 2475 W. Naranja Drive, about noon and then taken to the Oro Valley Police Department for questioning, said Lt. Kara Riley, a department spokeswoman.

Ironwood Ridge High School is in Amphitheater Public Schools.

Brush was booked into the Pima County jail on one count of sexual misconduct with a minor, Riley said.

The investigation, which began Monday, is in its preliminary stages and additional charges could be pending, said Riley.
